What Do Kids Do at
Austin’s House?
Laugh, cry, play, argue, eat, create, talk on the phone, listen to music, watch
movies, worry, go to the lake, homework, play on the playground, clean their
rooms, play air hockey, make their beds, help cook, whine, style their hair,
read, go to the doctor, clean the bathrooms, grow vegetables, do laundry, play
dress-up, rehearse with the band, go swimming, go to the dentist, play video
games, eat pizza, go shopping, sleep... and dream of a better tomorrow |

Welcome to Austin's House
Austin’s House provides shelter and care
for up to ten children between the ages of birth to 18. The children are
placed at Austin’s House after being removed from their homes due to
abuse or neglect.
Austin’s House
accommodates both boys and girls who are unable to be maintained in their own
homes until they are either reunited with their family, or an appropriate long
term placement is made. Under the guidance
of the placement agency, Austin’s House supports each child’s educational,
health, and emotional needs. Whenever
possible, children stay in the school they attended before being placed at
Austin’s House. The Austin’s House staff makes every effort to encourage and
support participation in extracurricular activities.
Other child and family oriented services are
available and offered to the community at large, including monitored visitation
and exchange. Austin’s House is a proud
sponsor of the AmeriCorps Vista program (Volunteers in Service to America) |
