Austin’s House Loves to Help the Professionals Who Help Our Kids!

The Austin’s House staff works with many professionals who are assisting the children residing with us. We will work closely with you to meet the child’s needs—and this information may help you when working with Austin’s House:

Paula Hennefer, Austin’s House Program Director, will be your primary interface at Austin’s House. You may also always contact the Director, Kathleen Miller. Both can be reached at (775) 267-6711, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. For an after hours critical issue, call (775)267-2642.

Austin’s House has a typical weekday and weekend routine, just like many families.
Please call a few days ahead if you would like to schedule an outing or visit with a child. Of course, we will accommodate last minute requests whenever possible, but the children often have evening and weekend plans, so it’s best to call ahead.

With the caseworker’s approval, Austin’s House will frequently handle medical, therapy and school issues and appointments—so please don’t hesitate to call if you need assistance.

We are BIG on education at Austin’s House! Our staff will be helping with homework assignments, checking grades, and communicating with teachers on a routine basis. Please call Paula if you have any questions or concerns regarding school.
